Ginelle Jean-Louis is currently a graduate student at Long Island University who is currently pursuing her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Media Studies from CUNY’s Queens College in 2020. She is bilingual and speaks Haitian Creole and English.
Ginelle believes that the process of therapy should be a collaborative one, with the client seen as the “expert” on their own lives. Her goal is to help clients realize their own strengths, gain insight, and address any conflicts, which may restrict them and/or their relationships from fulfillment to have them open themselves to new ways of thinking.
Ginelle uses Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral, and Solution Focused Therapy. Ginelle is interested in working with adolescents, young adults, couples, and families who are struggling with relationship issues, depression, anxiety, grief and daily stressors.
